Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney teamed up with iHeartRadio to Guest DJ a radio station that is perfect for them. The station includes music from their new album, songs that have inspired them and what they were listening to while recording Turn Blue.

On Turn Blue's first single "Fever," Dan says, "Pat and I recorded the bulk of that song in Benton Harbor, Michigan at a studio called Key Club. It was just the two of us." He continues, "It was fun, it just sort of happened very quickly."

The guys had some help with the title track to their new album. Dan explains, "'Turn Blue,' Pat and I recorded at Sunset Sound out in Los Angeles with our buddy Brian (Danger Mouse). It started with some sort of ambient sounds that Brian had that he had been working on." He goes on, "It was very simple, we kept the drums very simple, and it's one of my favorite songs."

The guys were listening to a variety of different music while recording Turn Blue. Patrick Carney revealed a few songs that influenced them while recording their latest album, which includes tracks from artists like Bo Diddley, Serge Gainsbourg, David Bowie, Isaac Hayes, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Kraftwerk, and more.

Find out what else Dan and Patrick had to say about Turn Blue and the songs that inspired them on their Guest DJ'd station on iHeartRadio.
